Outreach & Service

Women+ in Course XII (WiXII)

WiXII is a graduate student and postdoc run affinity group in the Department of Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences (Course 12) at MIT. We support members of the department by running workshops, promoting opportunities, and facilitating discussions that address issues of equality and diversity in science and academia. Our goal is to support a more open, inclusive, and communicative climate for all members of our department. I have served as the co-chair of WiXII since 2023, and I've been an active member throughout my graduate career.

Letters to a Pre-Scientist

Letters to a Pre-Scientist (LPS) is a program that pairs middle schoolers with professional scientists and engineers around the world via a pen-pal program. The goal of the program is to demystify science and engineering careers, provide role models to students, and inspire students to pursue careers in STEM. I have been a pen-pal with several middle schoolers since 2022, and it brings me so much joy to trade letters with these students.

Boston Area Planetary Science Meeting

The Boston Area Planetary Science Meeting (BAPSM) is a conference series that brings together planetary and exoplanet scientists from the greater Boston area. I have served on the Scientific/Local Organizing Committee since 2024. I help to plan the scientific program and coordinate logistics for the in-person meeting, which is held on a biannual or triannual basis.
